Policies for Guests
Welcome to TEWATASHI! We strive to create an exceptional dining experience for all of our guests. To ensure a comfortable and enjoyable atmosphere, we kindly ask you to familiarize yourself with our policies below. These guidelines are in place to make sure everyone can enjoy their visit to TEWATASHI.
1. Allergies
We take food allergies very seriously and have an **Allergy Information Page** that includes detailed ingredient lists and menus for each course we serve. Please visit the page via the link below to identify ingredients you cannot consume. Simply provide us with the item numbers of those dishes, and we will ensure they are not served to you. Additionally, we understand that while you may not be able to consume certain items, sharing with friends at your table is entirely acceptable. If there are several items you cannot eat, we are happy to provide a simple seasonal vegetable plate as an alternative where possible. Please note that we cannot always provide the exact dish with specific items removed, and we do our best to accommodate within our means.

For allergies or intolerances, please be aware that while we strive to accommodate your needs, we are not medical experts. We recommend consulting with a specialist and making decisions based on their advice. Also, despite our best efforts, there may be a risk of cross-contamination.
2. Dietary Preferences (Non-Allergy Related)
If you have dietary preferences that are not related to allergies but would like to avoid certain ingredients, the same procedures as for allergies apply. Please inform us in advance, and we will do our best to accommodate your needs. Again, please note that exact dishes with specific items removed may not always be possible, and we will do our utmost to provide an enjoyable alternative.
3. Infants
We welcome infants at TEWATASHI. Parents may hold their infants or bring a stroller, for which we can provide space. We kindly ask that all guests with infants be mindful of the comfort of those around them, ensuring that everyone enjoys their dining experience.
4. Pets
We love animals, but to maintain a clean and comfortable environment for all our guests, pets are not permitted in the restaurant, with the exception of service animals. Thank you for your understanding.
5. Bringing Your Own Drinks
We take pride in offering a curated selection of beverages, including wines, sake, and soft drinks that pair perfectly with our dishes. If you wish to bring your own bottle, we do allow it with a corkage fee. Please note that this fee must be paid in advance through our online payment system. The amount is available on our website, and payment must be made for each guest in your reservation. We kindly ask that you do not bring alcoholic beverages without prior arrangement and payment.
6. Bringing Your Own Cake or Food
We understand that celebrations are important, and if you wish to bring a birthday cake for a special occasion, we do allow it with a cakeage fee. Please note that this fee must be paid in advance through our online payment system. The fee amount can be found on our website, and payment must be made for each guest in your reservation. Unfortunately, we do not allow any other outside food in the restaurant.
7. Young Children (Preschool Age)
To ensure that all guests have a relaxed experience, we kindly ask that young children (preschool age) not join for our dinner services. This helps maintain a calm and peaceful dining atmosphere for everyone. However, we do welcome young children during our special family-friendly events, which are held occasionally. Please check our schedule for such events.
8. Dress Code
TEWATASHI is a fine dining establishment, and we kindly encourage guests to dress in smart casual attire. Please avoid overly casual clothing such as beachwear, sleeveless shirts, or flip-flops, as we aim to maintain an elegant dining environment.
9. Punctuality
We kindly request that all guests arrive on time for their reservations. If you anticipate being late, please contact us in advance. We hold reservations for up to 15 minutes past the scheduled time, after which the table may be released to other guests.
10. Group Bookings
For group bookings of more than six guests, we request that you contact us directly to make arrangements. A deposit may be required to secure your reservation, and we will do our best to accommodate special requests while ensuring all our guests enjoy their time with us.
11. Photography
We love seeing our guests capture moments at TEWATASHI. However, to respect the privacy of all diners, please limit photography to your own table and avoid using flash. We want everyone to enjoy their experience without distraction.
12. Celebrations and Noise Levels
We want to make your special occasion unforgettable. Whether it's a birthday or an anniversary, we are happy to support you in celebrating. We can play your provided music during the event, help coordinate surprise gifts, create a special birthday or anniversary dessert plate, and even set up decorations at your table. Please let us know in advance how we can help make your celebration extra special, while keeping the atmosphere comfortable for all our guests.
Thank you for your understanding and for helping us ensure that every guest has a pleasant and memorable dining experience at TEWATASHI. We look forward to welcoming you!
